Our success story impressively demonstrates how effective OHM creates real added value. Let yourself be inspired and discover how successful collaboration can pave the way for positive changes in the day-to-day working environment.
Health in the workplace is becoming increasingly important. NRP Ingenieure Ltd is countering increasing pressures with systematic occupational health management (OHM). CEO Roland Hollenstein explains what makes the team stronger – and the role Helsana plays.
Our 90 employees are very satisfied in many areas – including the resources at work, leadership and our corporate culture. This makes me very happy.
We have learnt that some employees would like to see more communication between teams and across locations. They also want to be more involved in decision-making and believe that preventive health should be given a higher priority. We use this feedback specifically to facilitate discussions, improvements and the personal development of our employees. We’re working on this as a team. Everyone can get involved.
A company is only as healthy as its employees. We too have seen an increase in mental health-related absences. With our systematic OHM, we want to tackle this issue early on and raise awareness so that problems or conflicts can be identified and addressed before they escalate. The topic of prevention and early detection is very important to us. Investments in health will pay off in the long term – through fewer absences and greater satisfaction.
Together with Helsana, we performed a situation analysis and used the results to refine our processes. We conducted an employee survey and attended the “healthy leadership” workshop. For us, it is clear: we need an expert partner with suitable offers – and this is Helsana. We would like to further expand this collaboration.
We aim to further establish OHM internally. We want our managers to be even better equipped to identify and address health issues – with respect, trust and clear responsibilities. At the same time, we promote personal responsibility among our employees, for example with the Helsana Resilience Package, which shows them how they can improve their health and tackle challenges. We would also like to offer a conflict management workshop.
A healthy working environment in which risks are identified early on and, ideally, never arise in the first place. Because the sooner we act, the better we can support our employees – and retain them in the long term. This will have a lasting positive impact on our company.
Yes, we have already benefited from valuable and effective support. Helsana looks after employees who are unable to work, coordinates measures and takes on much of the organisational work. This often enables quicker reintegration – and reduces costs. Our main goal, however, is a good work-life balance, resulting in a team that is motivated and enjoys working.
