Our application process at a glance

What can you expect when you apply for a position with us? Our multi-stage process enables us to get to know each other and find out whether we are a good match.

1. Application

Have you found an interesting vacancy on our careers page? Then apply via the link in the job ad. You will receive an immediate confirmation of receipt, usually followed by an initial decision within ten days. If we think that you might be right for the role, we will invite you to an individual job interview. 

Our application process is accessible. If you have any questions, please contact the relevant HR consultant listed in the job advertisement.

Your application should include the following documents:

  • Up-to-date CV, employment references, diplomas and certificates (compiled within one PDF document)
  • For some positions: cover letter

Sometimes getting to know each other starts the other way around: for some positions, we reach out to you! That’s what happened with Anton, for example. He’s been working with us as a Cyber Security Analyst since 1 January 2022.

2. Interviews

The first interview takes place with the relevant line manager and HR consultant, either in person or online. It should take about an hour. For certain roles, we may use one-way (time-delayed) video interviews. The focus is on your interests, strengths and experience. In short: you as a person. We also discuss the requirements and expectations on both sides - this also includes your salary.

If you are invited to a second round interview, this will address your subject-matter knowledge and skills. Depending on the job, you may be asked to complete a personality questionnaire and/or carry out a case study. You will gain a deeper insight into your future work and get to know your future team. Finally, we will – with your permission – obtain a verbal reference before making any commitment.

The application process typically takes between four and eight weeks.

3. Onboarding

You will take part in our Welcome Day during your first few days with us. You will learn all you need to know about your new employer and working environment. Your very own personal “mentor” will be on hand to assist and advise you during your probation period. You will also undertake our basic “Fit for Helsana” training.

Frequently asked questions

You can upload your documents under “Speculative application”. Tell us about the area you are interested in, what your strengths are and what makes you a good fit for Helsana.

Log into the application tool using your profile and click on “Job applications”. Here, you can see all your applications, sorted by status (draft, live, withdrawn, etc.).

Click on “Forgotten password” on the login page of the application tool and follow the instructions there. If you have forgotten your username, send a message to our HR Consulting team at karriere.leben@helsana.ch.

We will use your data solely for the recruiting purposes. Only those people who are involved in the recruitment process will have access to your data.

Data protection

In accordance with the Data Protection Act, your profile will be automatically deleted after two years of inactivity. You also have the option of deleting it yourself.
