When demand is high, patients often have to wait several weeks for an initial consultation with specialists such as orthopaedists or cardiologists. If you want faster access to medical services, a semi-private or private hospital supplementary insurance is a good idea. With this type of insurance, you benefit from the Fast Track service.

With Fast Track, we will arrange an appointment for you at a specialised Helsana partner clinic within five working days. If necessary, the doctors there will involve other specialities.

With Fast Track, you can quickly resolve the following complaints with a specialist:

  • Allergies: New onset of hay fever symptoms or other new allergies
  • Eyes: Vision problems, eye inflammation, visual field impairment, lens clouding, increased intraocular pressure
  • Bladder/prostate: Prostate problems, incontinence, chronic bladder inflammation

Can I use Fast Track without additional insurance?

No. Fast Track is an additional service for insured persons with a semi-private or private hospital supplementary insurance policy. Without additional insurance, it is best to contact your family doctor.

What is the difference between Fast Track and the expert second opinion?

Fast Track gets you to an initial consultation quickly in the case of unclear symptoms. The expert second opinion is used when a diagnosis has already been made. An experienced specialist will review it for you.

Does Fast Track also apply to children under 16 years of age?
