Graduate trainee programme

If you have completed a bachelor's or master's degree and are eager to dovetail theory with practice and enrich your knowledge with experience as part of a trainee program, you will find the ideal start to your professional career at Helsana.

What you can expect

During our 12- to 18-month trainee programme, you will work in various different departments at our head office, located next to Stettbach railway station. You will gain a comprehensive overview of the health insurance industry, work on operational and strategic topics and grow your own network. You will take responsibility from the start and help shape day-to-day insurance business. You will have the ability to tackle problems and issues from various angles and to draw connections, and will have the opportunity to apply these skills in your chosen position.

The network you build and the deeper knowledge you gain will be invaluable as you embark on the next stage of your career. Once you have successfully completed the programme, we will support you in moving to a permanent position.

What we expect from you

  • You will have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a university or university of applied sciences within the last 1.5 years.
  • You will already have some professional experience (includes internships/placements).
  • You will have a good command of German, French and/or English.

  • You have good communication and presentation skills.
  • You think strategically and take a results-driven approach.
  • You love to learn and have the courage to develop as a person.

The application process

We use various different tools in the application process.

  1. First, you have the opportunity to present yourself in a video interview.
  2. The second interview offers the chance to get to know the people running the trainee programme. We want to learn more about you, your abilities and your interests and to give you more of an insight into our corporate culture.
  3. The third interview involves an assessment, which we use to judge whether we make a good fit for each other. You will also work on a case study.

We currently have no open trainee positions.
