As an official partner of the Swiss Red Cross (SRC), Helsana is committed to the health and well-being of Switzerland’s population. We work to promote first aid to ensure as many people as possible are capable of providing help when it’s needed most. Are you prepared for an emergency?

First aid knowledge can save lives. Helsana supports the Swiss Samaritans in empowering the Swiss population to help people in emergencies.

Helsana is working with the Swiss Life-Saving Association to promote water safety and prevent swimming and drowning accidents.

Make sure you’re well prepared with the First Aid app

What should you do if someone has a heart attack or in the event of a traffic accident? The most important thing is to react as quickly as possible – and that’s where the First Aid app created by the Red Cross comes in. You can use the app to brush up on your knowledge at any time, and there are a range of interactive quizzes and even a personalised learning path to help you stay on track and keep you motivated. You’ll also have access to emergency numbers and life-saving measures whenever you need them, with or without an internet connection.

Digital services like this app can help people improve their first aid skills, as shown by the “What should you do in an emergency?” study commissioned by Helsana and the SRC. In fact, around 70% of respondents said they knew more about first aid thanks to the internet and apps. This shows the value of the First Aid app when used in combination with conventional courses. Have you got the app yet?
