Does your health condition mean you can't travel alone to your doctor's surgery, therapist's practice or to hospital?

You receive an amount from basic insurance for transport costs, provided certain conditions are met. With supplementary insurance, you can plug this gap and receive additional contributions towards transport costs.

What's worth knowing about transport

Medical transport can refer to transportation, rescue or relocation.

Transportation always refers to instances where your health does not allow you to get to a medical appointment alone, either on foot or by private or public transport such as bicycle, car, tram, bus or train.

Under basic insurance, we can pay half of the cost of transportation, up to CHF 500 per year. Our supplementary insurance schemes TOP, COMPLETA, WORLD and PRIMEO allow you to insure yourself against additional transport costs.
