FAQs

Answers to frequently asked questions about Helsana Advocare EXTRA legal expenses insurance:

Why do I need legal expenses insurance?

Anyone can get into an unexpected dispute – as a road user, employee, tenant, property owner, or consumer, as a party to a contract or even as a neighbour.

If you're going to win your case, it helps to have an expert by your side. Legal disputes can soon become lengthy and expensive, and you need an advance on costs if they go to court and you need to be represented by a lawyer.

Legal expenses insurance covers legal advice, representation by a lawyer if the case comes to court, and most of the legal costs and court fees.

My Helsana supplementary insurance includes legal protection benefits. Isn't that enough?

Thanks to your TOP, COMPLETA or OMNIA supplementary insurance, you already benefit from comprehensive legal protection while abroad or in health matters. This helps you if you get involved in, for example, legal disputes with doctors, hospitals and providers of social insurance and private liability insurance.

Because legal disputes are also common in civil matters (e.g. disputes with your landlord or employer), in motoring (e.g. after a car accident) or also in those relating to the Internet (e.g. credit card misuse), you can supplement your existing legal cover with comprehensive civil, motoring and Internet legal expenses insurance with Helsana Advocare EXTRA. You then benefit from comprehensive legal expenses insurance, which gives you protection and support wherever you are in the world.
