Today, people who find themselves at a time of major life crisis or are suffering from a psychiatric disorder can turn to a wide range of psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatment methods. The private clinic Clienia Littenheid specialises in problem-oriented psychotherapy for children and adolescents (aged 10 to 18) as well as adults and the elderly.
A day clinic and 15 specialist wards provide space for around 200 inpatients and 12 day patients. The inpatient, day-clinic and outpatient services are targeted at individuals with crises of adolescence, eating disorders, stress reactions, burnout and other stress-related disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, personality and psychosomatic disorders, problems with addiction, depression and psychotic disorders. The range of services also integrates specific therapeutic approaches such as art, music and exercise therapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy procedures as well as social work in tailored individual or group settings.
Therapeutic continuity is ensured on every ward by a consultant, experienced psychologists and registrars. The provision of medical-therapeutic treatment is supervised by the consultant in direct contact with the head of the centre concerned. Each patient is assigned a contact person from the care team, who works together with other specialist groups.
