The Kantonsspital Winterthur is a central hospital that treats around 22,000 inpatients and 81,000 outpatients a year. With 2,200 members of staff and over 500 beds, the KSW provides basic medical care to a population of around 200,000 and also provides services in specialist fields for regional hospitals. In addition, the KSW fulfils an important and comprehensive training mandate.
