“When you’ve spent half your life and more than two-thirds of a successful career at the same company, experiencing and achieving so much, you start to feel an urge to do something new at some point,” says Rudolf Bruder on his decision. He adds, “I would like to thank Helsana for these 26 thrilling and wonderful years.”

Roman Sonderegger, CEO of the Helsana Group, says, “Even though it’s hard to imagine Helsana without Rudolf after he’s been with us for so many years, I can absolutely understand his decision. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, the Executive Board and all our employees, I would like to sincerely thank Ruedi for his many years of loyalty to Helsana, as well as for his enormous commitment and valuable service. We wish him all the best, both personally and professionally.”

After 26 years, the time has come for something new

Rudolf Bruder (52) has been with Helsana since 1997, and has been a member of the Executive Board of the Helsana Group since July 2010. From 2001 to 2010, he worked as Head of Finance and Accounting, and subsequently took on the role of CFO. He was responsible for the Customer Service business division from 2017 onwards, and is currently in charge of the Products & Services business division. In addition, he occasionally served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Einkaufsgemeinschaft HSK AG. He has completed a banking apprenticeship, is a business economist with a degree from the HWV (Higher College for Business and Administration) and holds an Executive Master of Corporate Finance, as well as a BOD CAS from the Swiss Board School.

Subject to no objections from the supervisory authorities, Rudolf Bruder will assume the function of CFO as well as Deputy CEO at CSS going forward, as a member of its Executive Board. The exact terms will be agreed upon in the coming days. Until arrangements can be made for a permanent successor, Olaf Schäfer (54) will temporarily take over leadership of the Products & Services business division. He will also represent the division on the Executive Board.
