The General Meeting of the Helsana Group saw shareholders elect Reto Egloff (54) to the Board of Directors. He succeeds the departing Severin Moser (60). With the appointment of Reto Egloff, Helsana’s strategic management body is gaining a true expert in the field of health insurance, who also brings an excellent network of contacts outside the industry.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Prof. Thomas D. Szucs expressed his delight at the election of Reto Egloff: “Rising healthcare costs, skilled worker shortages and advancing digitalisation – Switzerland’s healthcare sector is undergoing transformation at an ever-accelerating pace. Reto Egloff knows the health insurance industry from supervisory, association and market perspectives. His comprehensive expertise and excellent network in the industry and among policy-makers make him ideally suited to strengthening Helsana’s position in actively shaping the Swiss healthcare system.”

Reto Egloff worked for the health insurance provider KPT from 2007 to 2021, serving as CEO from 2013. From 2013 to 2021, he was also on the board of directors at the industry association curafutura. Prior to that, he was section head of health insurance oversight at the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and held management positions in the hotel industry.

Severin Moser steps down from the Board of Directors

Severin Moser has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Helsana Group since 2007, most recently serving in this role as chair of the Digitalisation Committee and member of the Investment Committee.

“We offer Severin Moser our sincere thanks and deepest gratitude for his long-standing and outstanding commitment to the Helsana Group. We wish him all the very best for the future, both personally and professionally,” said Prof. Thomas D. Szucs on behalf of the entire Board of Directors.
