Achim Baumstark, Head of Information Technology, is leaving Helsana to become CTO of the Helvetia Group. Before leaving the company, he will make sure with the support of the Executive Board and the Board of Directors that his pending projects and mandates are handed over properly.

Achim Baumstark, Head of Information Technology and member of the Executive Board since 2013, is leaving Helsana to join the Group Management of the Helvetia Group, where he will be taking on the function of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
"Over the past three years at Helsana, Achim Baumstark exercised a decisive influence over our IT operations. Under his aegis, we successfully implemented the most extensive IT project in the company's history. On the Executive Board, he sharpened our focus on digitalisation," said CEO Daniel H. Schmutz. Thomas D. Szucs, Chairman of the Board of Directors, added: "With his performance and track record, a promotion of this nature does not come as a surprise. In the name of the entire Board of Directors, I congratulate Achim Baumstark on his new challenge."
Achim Baumstark will be leaving Helsana in the second quarter of 2017, and will make sure with the support of the Executive Board and the Board of Directors that his pending projects and mandates are handed over properly. His successor will be announced at a later date.
