Daniel Liedtke

Dr Daniel Liedtke has been Chair of the Board of Directors of the Helsana Group since 1 January 2026. In this capacity, he also chairs the Business, Compensation and Nomination Committee and the Chair’s Conference, and serves as a member of the Digitisation Committee and the Election Committee. In addition, he is the interim Chair of the Investment Committee.

Daniel Liedtke has extensive practical and academic training as well as more than 25 years of operational and strategic leadership experience in the healthcare field nationally and internationally. During his time in various key roles – most recently as CEO and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Hirslanden Group and member of the group management of the international Mediclinic Group – he has made a significant contribution to the development of integrated outpatient, inpatient and digital care models in Switzerland. His broad-based operational experience, combined with entrepreneurial pragmatism and an international perspective, makes him a proven expert and enables him to actively shape the complex challenges of modern, patient-centred healthcare.

Daniel Liedtke is a federally certified automotive electrician and holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, a degree in Osteo-pathic Medicine D.O. GDK and a Master of Advanced Studies FHO in Health Management. He also holds a doctorate in Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia, and has completed the Harvard Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School, Boston.
