Smoked trout crostini

It takes just ten minutes to prepare these smoked trout crostini. Whether as a canapé or side – this snack is sure to delight young and old alike.

A delicious finger food with true Italian flair consisting of toasted bread that is spread or topped with different ingredients. Almost anything can be placed on top, so feel free to be creative!

Ingredients for two portions
120g Wholemeal bread
4 sprigs Dill, fresh
Cucumber, raw
20g Low-fat cream cheese
0.5 tbsp Lemon juice
100g Trout fillets, smoked


  1. Slice the bread and bake until golden brown in the upper third of the oven (preheated to 230°C).
  2. Meanwhile, finely chop the dill. Thinly slice the cucumber.
  3. Combine the cream cheese with the dill and lemon juice. Spread the cream cheese mixture on the bread slices.
  4. Top half of the bread slices with smoked trout and cucumber slices. Place a second slice of bread on top of each crostini.
