There are over 100 Helsana Trails across Switzerland. The signposted circuits are ideal for jogging, walking or a gentle stroll. Information signs along the route tell you about correct technique and healthy levels of physical activity, and show a range of different strengthening and stretching exercises.
Exercising outdoors on a regular basis has a positive effect on our fitness and lifts our spirits. Trying out a new route adds a dash of additional zest. Welcome to the Helsana Trails.
Circuits of up to 25 kilometres
Helsana Trails are signposted circuits, with three or more routes in each location. The routes generally range from 5 to 25 kilometres in length. They are ideal for jogging, walking or a gentle stroll, and suited to every level of fitness. Using words and pictures, information signs explain the basics of running, walking and Nordic walking – such as the correct technique or proper levels of physical activity, together with strengthening and stretching exercises. And with the distance markers and signposts, everyone can find their way round the Helsana Trails easily.
Free of charge, and open all hours
There are over 100 Helsana Trails across Switzerland. They are open 24 hours a day all year round, and are free of charge. Since the first trail was opened in 2003, Helsana, Ryffel Running and Swiss Athletics have worked continuously to expand the network of Helsana Trails, in some cases using routes favoured by running groups. The circuits are regularly checked and maintained by local trail administrators.
